Transmissible gastroenteritis coronavirus (TGEV) is one cause of the enteritis in pigs. It can cause high mortality rate especially in young pigs. The TGEV belongs to the genus Alphacoronaviridae 1, similar to Canine Coronavirus, Feline Coronavirus and Feline Infetious peritonitis virus.
The TGEV Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of TGEV antigen (TGEV Ag) in pig’s feces or vomit specimen.
